Bernie Prendergast
I have combined work as a secondary school Art Teacher and mother with my career as a visual artist since the 1980’s. I am now a full-time visual artist.
My work is a combination of charcoal and pencil drawings as well as watercolours. My subject matter varies from wrinkled old men to beautiful young women (I have a particular preference to working with the female form)

Other work I have undertaken include; illustrating Christmas cards for CARE and Glor na nGeal and The Hope Foundation. My illustrations have also featured on several other local publications as well as music CD’s including “Between the Showers” – Irish Harp Music by Grainne Hambly and “Harvest Line” (USA) as well as on The “Mayo on the Move” website.
